Road Run 2013

Well done to everyone who completed the 3km racecourse at Marina Barrage! And great job to the people in Top 20, especially the canoeists and TWO-OH-ONE peeps!!

Jinwen was 2nd, Xuan Rong aka Demon 8th (Praveen aka Vijaykumaran as well isn't it sweet??), Wangwei 16th (I'm so proud of you GURL you are both a canoeist and oh-one-er and I love you for the day) and for Siyang aka flatypus I forgot (sorry sorry but good job bossu). THE CRAZY RUNNERS FROM 201 :D

And for the canoeists, there are a whole lot of you. I'm really really proud of all of you and I saw some of you running and I screamed your name like hell (I hope you girls heard it). Like Choowei, Ruiting, Yingrui, Christine aka Aunty Christy, Jamie and Rachel. I was screaming at all of you and all of you were in top 20 so all the screaming paid off. 

And for the guys, I only know that Samuel was the 1st to come back among the SH guys so WELL DONE CAPTAIN. And thanks for all the encouragement when I was near the finishing line. You were the one screaming at me to JIAYOU and that gave me the final boost. Thanks so much and I really appreciate it. 

And well done to all the guys (JH and SH) for doing well in the 4km. If I'm not wrong Sean and Ronnie are one of the guys in top 20. But I'm sure there are loads more. Proud to be a canoeist :)

And for the SH girls, all I can say is OMG. You girls did so well. Clarissa, Nanfeng, Celine, Adrienne, Marienne, Siong Yee, Madeline, Michelle, Tammy, Esther and some more I think. Well done to all and great job to the ones in top 20. 

Road Run made me realise that I can actually run 3km non-stop, but in school, since I'm on the track and only surrounded by a few people, I always walk during 2.4km. More people, nicer scenery and loads of encouragement from the roadside ushers gave me a whole lot of confidence. Also, canoeing made me not stop at all. I just can't bring myself to stop running or else I'll let down the entire team. 

While I'm disappointed to have let the team down by not getting into Top 20, at least I've learnt a lot. I'll train really hard so that I'll fight my way into the Top 20 next year. Even if it's against the older girls. I'll do my best in Nat schools and try to win a gold in any event. Best to be the Junior Women K2 with Wangwei so I can share our joy.

Every drop of blood, Heart and Soul, Go the Distance. I'm really proud of ALL OF YOU. <3
